March 1, 2016 (Alpharetta, Ga.) — During the first quarter of 2016 Ciox Health will solidify its efforts to drive next-generation health information collaboration by adopting Google Apps for Work. Google Apps for Work will be integrated throughout Ciox Health’s business processes and will enable Ciox Health to collaborate more efficiently with its over 8,000 employees, 18,000 provider clients, and one million unique requestors in real time — accelerating all aspects of the consent-driven, secure exchange of protected health information (PHI) and medical record retrieval.

“Google Apps for Work will increase our technology-enabled collaboration across all of our employees and the broader healthcare ecosystem we serve,” said Vishal Agrawal M.D., President and Chief Growth Officer of Ciox Health. “We believe health information exchange needs to be managed with quality, respect, and urgency.  Deploying Google Apps for Work helps us innovate better ways to exchange the over 50 million records we manage annually.”

In addition, Ciox Health and Google for Work are exploring new projects and technologies aimed at creating a technology-enabled environment across providers and requestors of health information.   Ciox Health, which is uniquely positioned as the largest national platform for health information exchange, will work closely with Google to enhance and streamline these connections into core business processes and stakeholder workflows.

Ciox Health will begin to implement Google Apps for Work in the first quarter, with future strategic development projects to drive collaboration across healthcare stakeholders to follow.
